Fun times at Canine Game Day!
It was our first time at the Humane Society’s Canine Game Day… this past Saturday, and we had so much fun! There were lots of booths to visit, (including a Petco table where we got a free frisbee), lots of Humane Society dogs to adopt, things to see and friends to meet!
Pet Stamps: Support our Shelter Pets
It’s very rare that we would ever see a Shiba Inu in a Shelter (and if we did, I’m sure we’d be snapping it up!). But there are… Shibas and their other doggie friends who are taken into Shelters every day.
Meet Kona and Kea!
They have tons of pics on our Facebook Page. Check ‘em out.

We are now streaming a live Shiba Inu Puppy cam!
RightPuppy Kennel breeds Shiba Inu and Tamaskan wolfdogs in North Carolina, and right now they have a webcam showing the latest Shiba Inu litter!
I have the video embedded on the right side of our page, about 1/2 way down. It’s hosted by Ustream, so let it load a bit, and hit the play button.…
First day at the park
Katsumi went to the dog park for the first time today! We went to McInerny park at the Humane Society.
She played mostly with Layla, a terrier mix.
Before we went in though, I let her spend time smelling the fence outside the park, and we went on a 45 minute walk around the area to get her a little tired before meeting new dogs.…

Hiking, anyone?
Saturday, May 29 is the Hawaiian Humane Society’s next monthly hike…, any Shiba Inu Hawaii Fans out there interested in going? Katsumi has never been on a hike (and I think I’ve been on less than 5 in my life…) but it sounds like fun and good exercise!
