We are insanely proud of our Shiba Inu Hawaii Team this year for PetWalk!! We had an amazing turn out–33 humans and 20 dogs! Everyone showed up bright and early to Magic Island on October 2, 7:30am with their brand new Shiba Inu Hawaii “I’m a Shiba” t-shirts. We looked GREAT!

As a collective team, we raised 1,550.55 for the Hawaiian Humane Society. Out of 160 Teams, we were ranked #9!! This was the most amount raised for a social dog group! AMAZING!! What an accomplishment!!! Team Shiba is pawesome!!!!!

As for the Float Competition — we created a Japanese-inspired float, complete with a bridge, lanterns, bamboo & cherry blossoms, and of course two lovely Shibas, Katsumi Firefox and Kitsune. Leading and surrounding our float were Shibas in kimonos — Keiko, Kuri Firefox, Mikie, Emi, Kuma Carlos Chan, Mesha & Ryder! What’s not to love? We took 3rd Place in the Competition, what an honor!

Thanks to the Humane Society for once again creating such a fun Event, Hawaii Pet Magazine for dreaming up the Float Competition, the Float Building Team (Duke, Shayna, Jen & Chris), everyone who donated, and everyone who walked!!!! Team Shiba is pawesome beyond pawesome! Congratulations to us all!!
