Shiba Inu Hawaii at the Aloha Pet Festival!

The Shibas were out in full force today at the Aloha Pet Festival to have some food, meet some new friends and as always have lots of fun hanging out together!!

When we arrived to set up, we discovered we were placed between two of our favorite vendors – Kiba Cafe and Inu Inu Hawaii!  An excellent start to an excellent day!  The Aloha Pet Festival started at 9am and the Shibas began to gather.  People came up to our booth to ask all about Shibas and play our Shiba Inu Trivia Game.  Shiba Inu Hawaii members were told that they had to get all the questions right or be kicked out of the club —but we were just kidding, haha!  Mostly everyone got them 100% correct anyway.  ;-)

We had our Shiba Pack Walk around the park at 10am, which ended with a unofficial Shiba Parade down the middle of the tents.  Of course we had to show off how cool we are!

For the rest of the day, we hung out behind our tent (luckily we were placed on the side with the shade!) and just spent time together.  Mikie, Miki and Roxy entered the Pet Costume Contest along with Bobby Gorgeous, Pomeranian friend to the Shibas.  Theresa from Hawaii Military Pets dropped by to say hello, as did Ron Darby from The Pet Hui.  We met Babe, the Chihuahua born with only two legs, in person for the first time.  She’s soo cute!  We also got to talk to Garrick from Pet Corner International who owns a 10 year old Shiba of his own named Keiko.  We had many admirers come to our tent to look at our always cute Shibas (who were on their best behavior, might I add!).  It was a really nice Event, so fun to socialize in a way different than we normally do.

Thanks to Mary from Hawaii Pet Magazine, and Juanita and Jerilynn from Kakaako Makai Marketplace for organizing such a fun Event!!  The Marketplace is open every Friday and Saturday and is always dog friendly!  For more information visit their website here.
