Exciting news everyone!!!! Lauren Takao, humom to some of our Shiba ‘Ohana members, Hina and Hiro is this week’s feature in Man vs. Food Nation on the Travel Channel!!!!! You may have remembered voting for her to be a contestant earlier this year.

Our first ever Shiba Hike was led by the adventurous Kitsune and her humans on November 13, 2011. Shibas and their humans took a nice trek up Mariner’s Ridge to see the sights! After that we had a celebratory eating adventure at the Greek Marina….
Fun times at the Shiba Holiday Brunch!
Happy Holidays, Shiba ‘Ohana!!!! The Shiba Holiday Brunch this past weekend was a great success! After setting down the human food and dog treats, the Shibas took advantage of the private dog park and ran like WILD ANIMALS. After that, Jacque from the Humane Society… was there to welcome us and thank us for our support–no Jacque, thank YOU!

At the last minute, the Humane Society Hike was cancelled, but that didn’t stop the Shibas! Thanks to some quick reconnaissance by Kitsune’s Mom, we found out the Hiking with Dogs Club …would still be attending, and we could tag along!
