Photos from our December 2011 Playdate!
It was the last Shiba Inu Hawaii Playdate of the year, and we had to go big! Our December 2011 Playdate was held at Hawaii Kai Dog Park on December 18, 2011. We had approximately 55 Humans and 34 Shibas in attendance, all happily conversing, exchanging holiday gifts and just enjoying being together!
After our group picture, those who signed up to participate in our very first Secret Shiba Claus Gift Exchange exited the park to the Shiba Sleigh full of presents! Why the Shiba Sleigh? We knew that some of the gifts would include treats, and treats are not allowed in the dog park. All our dogs normally get along, but some dogs can unexpectedly get possessive or even aggressive over food. We wait to avoid any of that! Besides the Shiba Sleigh looked PAWESOME!!!
Unfortunately, we got rained on pretty hard, and most everyone said a quick goodbye and headed home. But it was still a fun time nevertheless!!
We’d like to thank everyone for coming out to play of course, and for all the holiday gifts. What a wonderful group of Shiba friends we have! We are especially thankful for our surprise present! What fun!
