Shibas on Parade @ Aloha Pet Festival!
MY FAVORATE MOMENT IS WHEN WE ALL GET TOGETHER IN ONE PLACE WITH ALL OUR SHIBAS AND ALL YOU HEAR IN THE BACK GROUND IS “WOW LOOK AT ALL THOSE SHIBA INUS”. WE SHIBAS ROCK!!!

I love the smile on Zumi’s face every time he sees
Zumi eats his brother Kuma's face while sister Kuri looks on
his brother, sisters and friends at one of our playdates or events. His eyes get really tiny and his ears go back…and it actually looks like he’s smiling. I know he’s having a good time.
And our one year anniversary was tons of fun…especially the late nights at Shannon and Craig’s house planning the shindig.

The Shiba Sleigh: physical proof of crazy Shiba people!
From 2011 I think our first favorite moment for Blazer was finding his siblings, Mikie and Azuki. I think Mike and I were more happy then they were! Another favorite was the first anniversary with all the fun prizes and cake for the dogs. The most recent event was the Christmas exchange. It was great how the limit was $10 but clearly because we are all crazy about our dogs, everyone spent WAY OVER it. Other than the playdates, we really enjoy the hikes. A & B surprisingly like to climb and get dirty!
YES I WAS SHOCK TO SEE HER SIBLINGS BLAZER AND AIKO ON THE FIRST DAY I TOOK HER OUT AND LATER THAT DAY WE FOUND THIER SISTER AZUKI TOO. SO THANKS TO SHIBA INU HAWAII IF IT WASNT FOR THEM WE OR ANY ONE ELSE WOULDNT HAVE THEIR SIBLINGS.

I know I already contributed one, but after thinking about it, I think my real favorite Shiba Inu Hawaii moment was when Niki called and said the Hawaiian Humane Society needed fosters and we found Ryder was coming to live with us. One of the happiest moments of my year!

PetWalk Shiba Inu Hawaii Team 2011
Favorite moment: all of them. From our first playdate, to the Pet Walk, Maunawili Hike & Big City Diner lunch, Humane Society Holiday Brunch, and December Secret Shiba gift exchange. All the shiba events have been our favorite because of the new furry and human friends we’ve met at each one. If not for our shibas, we would not have crossed paths with this great group of people & dogs that we now look forward to seeing all the time!

Kuri's THAT close to Harley!?!
When Kuri & Mikie kept laying down in front of Harley and he wasn’t grouchy. I thought just maybe he was getting used to other Shibas..but oh, well there’s always next year! Mahalo to Niki & Chris for providing the opportunity for shiba get-togethers. Wishing Shiba Inu Hawaii another great year and all the shibas and their famillies!

There’s so many fun moments during the year that I know I’m missing a lot. Here’s some off the top of my head in no particular order…
- Shiba Inu Hawaii 1 year Anniversary
- Shiba Inu Hawaii on Pet Hui and local news (I was so proud of all the Shibas and humansbeing on tv).
- 2012 Shiba Inu Hawaii Calendar (and the crazy voting and sleepless nights).
- Pill Box hike (and Ice Cream turkey)
- Maunawili hike and Big City Diner (14+ Shibas and their humans… Especially Chris and the exploding ketchup)
- Humane Society rescued shiba pups from the Waimanalo puppy mill and given to foster families (Shiba Ohana grew exponentially after that).
- Shibas in Hawaii Pet Magazine (Kuma on the cover, Mikie, etc)Lil' Rocky & Niki
On a personal level:
- 12/31/10 Rocky came into our lives
- 02/2011 First Shiba inu meet up (picture of Niki holding him as a pup).
- 03/2011 Rocky becomes a member of Shiba Inu Hawaii and…
- Rocky is reunited with his brother Kobu (Shiba Inu Hawaii connection now in NYC).
- Celebrating Shiba birthdays (like they are humans) 11/15/11 Rocky’s 1 year birthday
- Shiba Inu Hawaii social networking (Facebook). I have been blessed with love, laughter, and inspiration by all Shiba Ohana members. Looking forward to a gr8 2012!-Robert, Rocky’s Human
