Come support the Shibas in the Hawaiian Kennel Club Dog Show!
We got word that 9 Shiba Inus will be participating in this weekend’s Hawaiian Kennel Club All Breed Show! We have a few Shiba ‘Ohana members competing as well: Kuma… (from the Big Island), Taki-Boy, Sammie & Musashi!
The Show takes place at the Blaisdell, and we believe there is a $5 cost to get in (not confirmed, but that’s what it was last year).

This Saturday and Sunday is a dog show hosted by the Windward Hawaiian Dog Fanciers Association. The location is Samuel Wilder King School. There are quite a few of our Shiba Ohana members entered — Taki-Boy, Sasha and our Big Island Shiba friend Kumagoro…!

After the class, you’ll have an opportunity to sign up for their show being held on April 16… also at Samuel Wilder King School.
1st Annual Hawaiian Classic Dog Show – March 26 & 27
The North American Kennel Club… is coming to Hawaii for the very first time for the 1st Annual Hawaiian Classic Dog Show! The President of the Club and 6 Judges (including International judges) will be coming down for the Event. It would be great to see a Shiba from our group compete!

Missed the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show this past week? No problem! We’ve got the most IMPORTANT part of the entire thing right here…the Shiba Inu Judging!!

Last Saturday, September 4th we went to see the Shiba Inu compete in the Hawaiian Kennel Club Dog Show. We got to meet Joan and her competing red male, Kuma… from the Big Island, and saw them go head to head with a black and tan female from breeder, Reggie (on Oahu).
