We were both horrified and ecstatic to hear the news about the Hawaiian Humane Society’s… raid on a Waimanalo Puppy Farm last night. We had seen all the stories on this farm on the news, and shared our pain with Shiba Inu Hawaii members/supporters who saw these puppies in a pet store.

Hawaii News Now’s “Puppy Farm Investigation” includes Shiba Inu Mother & Puppies
What terrible news today, “Puppy farm investigation sparks animal debate,” found on Hawaii News Now (click here… if you haven’t heard about it yet). Even worse, it seems that the very first clip they show is of a Shiba Inu mother and her puppies (see 0:13), in a tiny space presumably surrounded by her own feces.

The search for Copper continues…
Dozens of volunteers have joined forces in Frankfort, Kentucky to find Copper, the Shiba Inu who was mistaken for a Coyote earlier this month. They say that they are highly committed and won’t stop until they find her! The reward is now up to $1750, according to Lex18.com….
